19 of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev secured his first trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has had a challenging year, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in especial - led to him falling of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with former trainer Cervara.
Now training with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's maiden title since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court after March of that year.
The win also indicates the Russian has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my children simultaneously, so to win a championship is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the first title I got when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six title deciders, comprising in Halle previously this season.
His retrieving play style and regular reactions on the playing surface had caused observers to wonder if his ability to compete at the highest level was finished.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and play assertively, supported by an improved service.
He came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult opponent, winning four of the final five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players swapped breaks in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his initial tour victory, gained dominance to create a final set.
He rescued 4 initial chances in a close final set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he clinched the title with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
