I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
